New: Turn Alerts while navigating

When you're navigating a loaded GPX route, Bishvil now alerts you as you approach a turn — so you can stay focused on the trail instead of constantly checking the map.

How the alerts progress

1

An early alert lets you know a turn is coming up.

2

A closer alert appears as you near the turn.

3

A clear “turn now” indication appears as you reach the turn.

The result is a navigation experience that keeps you informed exactly when you need it, without extra glances at the screen.

Turn alerts can be turned on or off from the navigation settings.

Past Trail is now integrated with recording

While recording a ride, the map shows where you've already ridden using your selected location color. The trail appears automatically while recording, and disappears once the ride is saved or discarded.

New: Record and save your rides

Bishvil now lets you record a ride in real time, save it as a route, and open it later from “Routes”.

How it works

1

Open the navigation screen.

2

Tap the recording button.

3

Ride normally while Bishvil records your route.

4

Stop the recording at the end of the ride.

5

Name the ride and save it.

6

Find the saved route later under “Routes”.

This is useful for saving new trails, documenting off-road rides, and building your own personal route library.

Elevation data is currently not included in recorded rides because altitude readings from mobile phones are not reliable enough. This is an intentional reliability decision rather than a bug.
